The Partnership for Governance Reform (Kemitraan) is working together with the Caucus of Female Parliamentary Members in Indonesia (KPP RI) to present the second "Women’s Leadership Forum for Women Parliamentarians in Promoting Women's Representation in Southeast Asia" event in Denpasar, Bali, from May 23 to May 24, 2014.

Women lawmakers from across the Southeast Asian region will attend the forum to discuss strategies for winning elections and also methods of voicing support for policies that uphold women's rights.

Furthermore, the forum intends to discuss the importance of the minimum target of 30 percent female representation in parliament across the region.

Kemitraan is expecting approximately 14 incumbent and newly elected women lawmakers, activists, representatives from political parties, members of civil society groups and government officials to participate in the forum.

The forum is being conducted as part of the "Building Sustainable Partnerships to Promote Women's Political Representation in Southeast Asia" program, which is supported by Kemitraan and several other civil society groups from the Southeast Asian region.
