IEC chairperson says the final results of other provinces will be announced within the next few days.
The Independent Election Commission (IEC) on Tuesday announced the final results of parliamentary elections for five provinces, including Ghor, Balkh, Paktia, Herat and Badghis provinces, two weeks after the new commissioners sworn in to lead the body following the dismissal of former officials over allegations of fraud and widespread irregularities in last year’s parliamentary polls.
Addressing a presser on the occasion, the new IEC Chairperson Hawa Alam Nuristani said the results of other provinces and the Kuchis (nomads) will be announced within the next few days.
The parliamentary elections were held last year on October 20.
According to Nuristani, following are the candidates whose names have been included in the final list of the parliamentary elections results.
