Current authorities
- Head of state: Ibrahim Boubacar Keita (since 4 September 2013, was ousted in the 18th August 2020 military coup and replaced by a Military Junta. Bah Ndaw is the provisional president of the state since September 20th 2020. As a result, Mali has been suspended of the African Union. On the 24th May 2021, a second coup d'état replaced Ndaw by colonel Assimi Goita, the new strong man in Mali.
- Head of government: Boubou Cisse, since April 2019. Ousted on August 18th by the Military Junta. Acting prime minister is Moctar Ouane since August 27th, 2020.
- Minister of Foreign Affairs: Abdoulaye Diop, until coup.
- Minister of Interior: Abdoulaye Idrissa Maïga, until coup.
- Head(s) of Legislative Branch: Younoussi Touré, until coup. The parliament was replaced by the National Transition Council on december 2020, led by speaker Malick Diaw.
