The Vice President of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s (BiH) major party Denis Becirovic announces his candidacy at upcoming presidential elections in October for the member of BiH tripartite presidency, his official social media account said Saturday late night.
In his message to the BiH public, nine years long Vice President of Social Democratic Party of BiH (SDP) said that he continues to advocate for the idea that future BiH Presidency member has to serve to all citizens of BiH.
Becirovic continued by saying that he has received thousands of letters from BiH citizens asking from him to candidate, and that he feels proud because great number of people see him as “politically worthy of the highest function in the country.”
“I believe and continue to advocate that a future BiH Presidency member must serve all citizens of BiH and not to just one political party. I have been talking about this for years and I will not give up on this principle,” Becirovic stated boldly in his message.
The former Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH in his final remarks highlighted his pride of having BiH as his homeland, adding that he will not run away of the responsibility if citizens elect him.
“That is why I will continue to do everything that is in my power in order of the idea of a fairer, more free and equal BiH to win,”Becirovic concluded adding there is a lot of work ahead.
BiH citizens will elect a tripartite members of the presidency, which represents the three major ethnic groups of Bosniaks, Serbs and Croats on Sunday, Oct 7, 2018.
