ssues related to the draft Constitution and ways to reach compromise were discussed at a meeting held Tuesday between Caretaker President Moncef Marzouki and members of Ennahdha National Constituent Caucus in the National Constituent Assembly (NCA).
At the end of the meeting, President of Ennahdha bloc Sahbi Atig stressed the need to find a common ground on conflicting issues raised after the submission of the draft Constitution, the Presidency of the Republic said in a press release.
"The content of the future Constitution should meet the expectations of all Tunisians rather than protecting the interests of a specific party," Atig reckoned.
He also called for continuing dialogue between the various political parties so as to find solutions allowing to pass the Constitution from the first reading.
"Every future dialogue on the draft Constitution should be held under the supervision of the National Constitution Assembly (NCA) whose power is legitimate and initial," Atig added
