SCW Sec-Gen affirms providing qualitative support for all female candidates

Manama, Apr 29 (BNA) – Supreme Council for Women (SCW)'s Secretary-General, Hala Al-Ansari, has confirmed that the Bahraini women's political empowerment program includes all Bahraini women wish to be engaged in parliamentary and municipal elections, moreover SCW, in cooperation with Bahrain Institute for Political Development, will provide qualitative consulting and training programmes for all female candidates.
SCW's Sec-Gen emphasized the SCW does not support candidates or beneficiaries form the training programmes, because it contradicts the goals of the political empowerment programme, and affirmed that the program is designed to provide qualitative support through specialized training workshops for all beneficiaries, without exception. 

She noted the general framework of the political empowerment programme has been carefully selected to provide media support for all participants by highlighting women as leading players of vision capable of making achievements at political, economic and social levels. In addition the political empowerment programme aims to attract and prepare women wishing to nominate for the elections and to raise awareness among the community about women's participation in the parliamentary and municipal elections and in decision-making positions.
