The Independent High Authority for Election (ISIE) has launched an awareness programme to encourage the voters to go to the polls massively, on May 6, 2018, the day of the municipal elections, said Tuesday ISIE President Mohamed Tlili Mansri.
This awareness programme includes the dissemination of awareness spots in several avenues in different regions of the country, the dissemination of awareness spots on national and regional television and radio, the sending of SMS awareness messages and the dressing of four trucks, he explained during an awareness meeting held in the capital.
Launched Monday, April 9, 2018, the awareness campaign mobilised 10% of the budget of the ISIE, according to Moez Ben Mahmoud, communication expert with the ISIE.
The four awareness trucks have already begun their journey, while television and radio spots will be broadcast from April 25, 2018, he added.
The Tunisian Association for Integrity and Democracy of Elections (ATIDE) will underpin the ISIE's awareness campaign efforts, according to Yosra Ezzeddine, head of communication and information at the Association.
An awareness programme was developed by the association for this purpose, she said, noting that an awareness carnival should go through the different constituencies to raise awareness among citizens about the need to participate massively in this electoral event.
