Le candidat à la présidentielle 2014, Ali Benflis, n’accepte toujours pas sa défaite. Il affirme qu’il a été vainqueur dans « 80% des wilayas » et qu’il ne reconnaitra pas la légitimité d’un président élu à l’aide de la fraude, dans un entretien à la chaîne KBC, dont des extraits ont été publiés ce dimanche par El Khabar. « J’ai gagné ces élections et ma victoire a été volée. Le Conseil constitutionnel est devenu un comité de soutien », a-t-il affirmé. Il accuse Bouteflika d’avoir « menacé les institutions de l’État et négocié avec elles pour le laisser gagner.

Le cabinet du premier ministre mauritanien a rendu aujourd'hui,dimanche 20 avril un communiqué portant nomination de Sidamine Ould Ahmed Challa, conseiller du premier ministre,Moulaye Ould Mohamed Laghdaf.

Nous rappelons que Sidamine Ould Ahmed Challa avait dans le passé occupé le poste de directeur général de la SOCOGIM avant de devenir ambassadeur de la RIM à Bamako et Dakar.

District commissioner of Bal’ad accuses Federal Government

Osman Hadole the district comssioner of Bal’ad in Middle Shabelle, voiced strong accusation claims against the Somali Federal Government, as he reported to the BBC Somali Service.

He claimed that that almost 50 battlewagons belonging to both the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) and Somali National Army attacked his house in Bal’ad.

“The soldiers attacked us without warning. Not a single person told us that they were unhappy with my administration.” Said Hadole

Sudan’s Bashir agrees to form a transitional government, says opposition official

An opposition party revealed that president Omer Hassan Al-Bashir agreed to form a transitional government to implement a national political program saying it must not last for more than two years.

Sudan’s opposition Popular Congress Party’s (PCP) secretary of foreign relations, Bashir Adam Rahma said, in an interview with the Qatari Al-Watan newspaper on Sunday, that Bashir accepted this transitional government which will administrate the country during the national dialogue process.

Mohamed Weli Ugaas Hussein, and elder representing Bal’ad in Middle Shabele, featured in an exclusive interview with Radio Shabelle in Mogadishu and called upon the Somali Federal Government to appoint a new district administration for Bal’ad.

Ce taux de participation n’est pas étonnant .A la dernière élection présidentielle de 2009, sauf  20 % des électeurs sont allés voter. Lors des élections  législatives, le taux de participation a été encore plus bas.

Sudanese opposition reiterates calls for overthrowing Bashir regime

The chairman of the National Consensus Forces (NCF), Farouk Abu Issa, has reiterated the determination of the opposition alliance to overthrow the government, underscoring they wouldn’t engage in a dialogue that doesn’t lead to dismantling the regime and restoring democracy.

Last January, the president Omer Hassan Al-Bashir called upon opposition parties and rebel groups to engage in a comprehensive national dialogue to end war and restore democracy in Sudan.

he leader of the opposition National Umma Party, Saddiq Al-Mahdi said rebels of the Sudanese Revolutionary Front are more realistic than some opposition thinkers in Khartoum who believe that the regime can be overthrown.

Al-Mahdi who since last year suspended the membership of his party in the opposition umbrella of the National Consensus Forces (NCF) was commenting on the position of the latter which refuses to participate in a national dialogue initiated by the president Omer Al-Bashir.

ISLAMABAD: Afghan election authorities are set to announce preliminary results of the April 5 presidential polls in a few days amid widespread speculations of a possible run-off and allegations of vote fraud.

The country’s Independent Election Commission (IEC) says the result, scheduled to be declared on April 24, will let Afghans know who in all probability will replace President Hamid Karzai.

Minister of Interior & Federalism for the Somali Federal Government Abdullahi Godax Barre strained that 2014 is a crucial year for the government as he vowed that his Ministry will carry out the awaiting tasks accordingly.
At a ceremony held today at the Ministry’s headquarters in Mogadishu, Land-Cruiser vehicles were being tendered to each of the Ministry’s Department Heads. Barre described the handover of the cars as a ‘much-needed gift’ for the heads. He also highlighted that the vehicles were not donated from abroad but from the Ministry’s budget.
