While debating the draft law on elections, the House of People approved another two articles of the law.
Chaired by Abdul Rauf Ibrahimi, Speaker of the House of People, Ibrahimi and some deputies talked on the importance of 8th of Saur the victory anniversary of Mujahidden and congratulated this day to the Muslim nation of Afghanistan.
Later, the deputies discussed two other articles of the draft law on elections.
Some deputies viewed that final confirmation of the result of election should take place by the independent election commission, while others insisted that this authority should be given to the election complaint commission.
Ultimately as a result of voting, the final confirmation of the result of election by the independent election commission was approved.
The zonal issue of parliamentary election was another topic opposed by the deputies on which detailed discussions took place.
Some deputies supported creation of election zones proportionate to the number of seat province, and others viewed that the provinces should be specified as election zones.
As a result of voting, the province was approved as the election zone with majority of deputies’ votes.
