President Michel Sleiman held talks Thursday with Prime Minister-designate Tammam Salam over the Cabinet formation process at the Presidential Palace.
No statement was issued following the 30-minute meeting.
Salam was appointed to form the new Cabinet on April 6 after endorsement by 124 of Lebanon's 128-member Parliament.
Salam is seeking a government of 24 members with seats equally divided among the March 8 and March 14 camps and centrists and a rotation of key ministerial portfolios. The Hezbollah-led March 8 coalition insists on veto power in the Cabinet, or the blocking third, which Salam opposes.
