DOHA QATAR Leadership Centre (QLC) held an orientation day for 35 participants of the newly launched current and future executive leaders programme 2012-2013.  The orientation session was held at the Four Seasons Hotel, in Doha, recently, where Sheikh Dr Abdulla bin Ali al Thani, board member and executive director of QLC outlined the programme goals, structure and QLC vision to the new participants.

The new participants of the current and future executive leaders programme, aged 36- 46, from across Qatar’s government institutions and businesses will undergo a 12- month leadership programme divided into four core areas addressing leadership skills, personal skills, management acumen and regional and global trends. Sections of the programme will be delivered by QLC’s strategic partners Harvard Business School, The University of Chicago, Duke CE and HEC Paris.

Over the past year, 35 participants have taken part in our leadership programme and we look forward to working with the senior professionals in the new executive leadership programme.

“Since the launch of the first Qatar Leadership Development programme in November 2011, we have sought to identify Qatari individuals with proven talent and develop their leadership potential to the maximum,” said Sheikh Dr al Thani. “Over the past year, 35 participants have taken part in our leadership programme and we look forward to working with the senior professionals in the new executive leadership programme.” QLC’s leadership programmes offer two programme streams aimed at mid-career professionals between the ages of 25 to 35 and a senior programme for Qatari executives between the ages of 36 to 46. Candidates for the executive programme were selected in September with the course due to start next month.
