The Minister of Interior & Federalism for the Somali Federal Government announced that the Ministry will undertake significant changes including the laws that the government has imposed.
Abdullahi Godax Barre, the Interior Minister strained that the reason for the laws to be changed are mainly because they are wrong, and will modify them before bringing it before Parliament to endorse the regulations.
Mr. Barre added that the methodology his Ministry used to appoint administrators for district and regional administrations was right and that legislators approved the decisions as well as declaring their support for the new administrators.
Yesterday, the Minister of Interior & Federalism was given a vote of confidence by legislators of the parliament after majority of MPs voted him to retain the title. A motion was recently brought up by opposition lawmakers calling on there to be a vote of confidence to decide whether to oust Mr. Barre.
