Le Parti Citoyen pour le Renouveau(PCR) a enregistré le ralliement des jeunes militants du Mouvement des Jeunes Patriotiques et Démocratiques du Mali(Mjpdm). C’était le Dimanche 23 Février 2014 sur le terrain Ibrahim Diallo de Djoumanzana. Cette cérémonie d’adhésion était présidée par Ousmane Ben Fana Traoré, président du Pcr. Il était entouré par les cadres du parti dont : Aba Simpara et Kalifa Coulibaly, en présence de certaines notabilités du quartier notamment le chef du quartier Mamoutou Diarra et le tout dans une ambiance festive.

KPK warns incumbents against election ‘gifts’

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) warned political parties contesting the 2014 legislative election against accepting gratuities ahead of ballot day.

KPK spokesman Johan Budi said that the antigraft body had written to the leaders of 15 political parties, including three local parties in Aceh, warning them that their members could be prosecuted for accepting gratuities.

Democratic Party politician Benny Kabur Harman has opted out of the Constitutional Court (MK) justice race.

Benny on Monday failed to show up at the House of Representatives building to register for the race before the 4 p.m. deadline.

Democratic Party politician Ruhut Sitompul said that Benny’s decision reflected the party’s position on nominating politicians for the post.

“The regulation in lieu of law [Perppu] clearly states that candidates should not come from political parties,” Ruhut said.

L’Adéma/PASJ a frappé fort à Djenné. Elle vient d’exclure plusieurs cadres de la section. Il s’agit de Bamoye Sory Traoré, l’actuel maire de Djenné, Mamadou Sory Gano, un cadre influent de la section, Hamedi Diallo dit Habi du Haut conseil des collectivités, Baba Sébé et Bocar Bora Bah. Ces deux derniers sont de la sous-section de Mougnan.

Jakarta Governor Joko Widodo’s immense popularity makes him the most promising candidate to win the presidential election, regardless of who is chosen as his running mate, an analyst said on Monday.

Gun Gun Heryanto, a political analyst from Syarif Hidayatullah Islamic State University (UIN), said with his current level of likability, Joko would be able to win against any opponents, including former general and coordinating minister for economic affairs, Prabowo Subianto; Golkar party chairman Aburizal Bakrie; and former army chief, Pramono Edhie Wibowo.

KABUL (Pajhwok): The governor of northwestern Badghis province on Tuesday promised concrete steps would be taken to ensure security for the April 5 presidential and provincial elections.

In an exclusive interview with Pajhwok Afghan News, Ahmadullah Alizai said an effective security plan was being prepared to ensure peaceful conduct of the election.

Government officials would not be allowed to use the state machinery for or against any candidate, he said, adding seven of 44 polling stations in the province were under security.

Missing governance: Balochistan local bodies put on backburner

ISLAMABAD: The local bodies’ elections took place in Balochistan on December 7 last year, but nearly three months later, there is still no local government in the province.

Local bureaucrats are not hopeful. “The formation of local government in the province may take months and years,” said Sultan Bayazeed, the provincial election commissioner (PEC) of Balochistan.

He cited the absence of required laws as a major reason behind the unprecedented delay in the elections that would bring mayors and municipal, district and union councils into being.

Kyrgyz Central Election Commission reports to EU on improving electoral process

The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Kyrgyzstan reported to the European Union on improving the electoral process. The press service of the commission informs.  

According to its data, the Deputy Chairwoman Ainura Shaiymkulova took part in the meeting of the committee on cooperation of EU in Brussels, where she reported on the carried out work on improvement of electoral process within the National Strategy for Development.

The cantonal assembly in the Bosnian capital has accepted demands from a ‘citizens’ plenum’ to form a government of experts and to take action to limit officials’ financial privileges.

 

The assembly's lawmakers on Monday agreed the proposal put forward by the Sarajevo plenum, one of several public forums set up by protesters across the country to advance political demands arising from the recent nationwide demonstrations.

Albania Govt ‘Failed to Uphold Pre-Poll Promises’

The Mjaft Movement, a Tirana-based watchdog organisation, accused the Albanian government of fulfilling only seven of 17 promises which it pledged to uphold in its first 100 days.

 

Out of the 17 electoral promises made by the centre-left government of Prime Minister Edi Rama that Mjaft evaluated as part of its Truthometer project, seven were realised, seven were not realised, one was judged to be unmeasurable and two others were only party fulfilled.

Rama’s government took office in September, promising to usher in a ‘renaissance’ for Albania.

Emna Mansour se présente aux élections présidentielles

La présidente du parti mouvement démocratique de réforme et de reconstruction, Emna Mansour a annoncé au micro de Mosaïque FM qu’elle compte présenter sa candidature aux prochaines élections présidentielles. Elle  considère  qu’elle était prête à apporter le plus dans plusieurs secteurs et que sa candidature s’inscrit dans le cadre du renforcement de la présence féminine dans les postes de décision et de responsabilité.
