  • Observations: The PRA was one of the first political parties to appear when multi-party politics was first permitted at the end of the 1980's. Its founder was Noureddine Boukrouh and the party espoused the principles and political thinking of the Algerian philosopher Malek Bennabi. The PRA has periodically disappeared and re-appeared over the last two decades, coming as it did, in and out of official favour. In early 2013 it was undergoing an internal crisis.
