Labor Party kicks off in Yemen

Amid widespread presence , Yemeni Labor Party held its Constituent Conference last Thursday in Sana’a within the multi-party context taking place in our country to officially publicize the Yemeni Labor Party was under the slogan: (with work  we build a homeland), which is one of the fledgling political parties in Yemen .
At a publicity ceremony official said Head of the Preparatory Committee of the Yemeni Labor Party – Mukhtar al-Qushaibi – said that “the establishment of the party on this day was not an easy task,” pointing out that the political conflict witnessed in Yemen in February of 2011 had a major role in blocking steps and procedures for the adoption of the Yemeni Labor Party.
 “The idea of the party is based on three basic pillars: (unity, justice, democracy), and the motto is: (with work we build a homeland), considering that ‘work’ is the only way to achieve success,” al-Qushaibi said. 
“The Yemeni Labour Party        has the honor and pride that youths occupy its front position both in terms of preparation and in the possible opportunities for taking up leading positions in the party,” he added.  
Al-Qushaibi also pointed out that women have made a significant presence also in the party, conveying his thanks and appreciation to the Parties Affairs Committee for their roles and supports. 
A number of leading members in the party said that the idea of establishing the party goes back to 3/4/2011 where documents were distributed on the members of the Parties Affairs Committee in April, 2012.
 “The party was officially recognized and announced by the Parties Affairs Committee in the second of January of the year 2013. Publish the names of the founders and associate members in the official media for seven days in a row, according to the law,” they added.
