- Observations: The FNA is a conservative party which while never having participated in a government is considered very much one of the Algerian regime's loyal and amenable parties. Its programme and message differs very little from that of the FLN and RND and indeed, for some time during the 2000's it was thought the party was being groomed to join the government. For most of 2012 the party was immersed in a major leadership battle.
