A member of the House of Representatives for the province of Anbar, Adel Khamis al-Mahallawi said "several important laws are ready to vote on and waiting for consensus and quorum legal."
"The parliament is about to complete its legislative term and the people are waiting to pass several important laws to be a positive sign of the current council in the democratic and legislative process in the country," he told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA).
"The most important of these laws is the unified pension law, the law of nursing, health professions, the federal service, accountability, justice and its members," Mahallawi said.
He called on the members of parliament to achieve a quorum and work on the adoption of laws to serve the people of the country, which is expected from the representatives as positive steps in this regard.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives Salim al-Jubouri, confirmed yesterday that the presidency of the parliament will set a date for a special session to vote on the laws completed and MPs will be informed.
