Toutes les composantes de l’opposition seront réunies, mardi prochain à Alger, pour exprimer leurs points de vue et tenter de s’entendre sur la démarche à suivre afin de sortir de la crise politique actuelle. La conférence nationale de transition démocratique, initiée par la CNLTD, s’annonce ainsi comme un important «congrès» de l’opposition algérienne.

Security preparations for the presidential runoff have been tightened in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, and other cities throughout the country.

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has committed to use all its capabilities to provide a secure runoff, but stressed that the public’s cooperation with the security forces will create for a secure election process.

MoI’s Spokesman Sediq Sediqqi said the ministry has sent more security forces to the eastern parts of the country and across the Durand Line.

President Hamid Karzai’s brother, Abdul Qayum Karzai, and a number of his team members endorsed presidential candidate Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai on Sunday in front of supporters at the Intercontinental Hotel in Kabul.

Mr. Kazai said he supports Dr. Ghani-Ahmadzai for a “free and independent Afghanistan.”

Dr. Ghani-Ahmadzai welcomed the endorsement and vowed to work together toward a better future for Afghanistan.

“Qayum Karzai did not join the team because of our 25 year friendship; he joined to build a better future for Afghanistan,” Dr. Ghani-Ahmadzai said.

Jakarta. The investigation held by the army into allegations that a soldier encouraged residents of a Central Jakarta neigborhood to vote for Prabowo Subianto has found that the incident was a misunderstanding.

“The Army chief of staff Gen. Budiman has instructed Jakarta military commander Maj. Gen. Mulyono to thoroughly check the allegations,” Army spokesman Brig. Gen. Andika Perkasa said in a written statement on Sunday.

A senior official from the ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) has said President Abdullah Gül should become the next prime minister if Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is elected president.
 
“If Erdoğan runs for the presidency and is elected president, it is my wish to see Gül return to the party, become its general chairman and be elected prime minister in the 2015 elections,” said AK Party Deputy Chairman Mehmet Ali Şahin during a meeting held in the Safranbolu district of Karabük.
 

Reserved seats: AJK apex court seeks comments from all political parties

MUZAFFARABAD: The Supreme Court of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) on Friday sought comments from all major political parties on 12 seats reserved for Kashmiri refugees in the AJK Legislative Assembly.

The top court sought the comments on a petition filed by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz AJK Secretary-General Shah Ghulam Qadir, who had challanged the decision of the AJK High Court, which had ordered the election commission to declare his participation in 2011 elections null and void.

Le FFS va finalement participer à la conférence nationale des forces de l’opposition, qui aura lieu le 10 juin à l’hôtel Mazafran à Alger.

 

Le FFS va finalement participer à la conférence nationale des forces de l’opposition. La décision a été prise suite à une réunion qui a regroupé, vendredi en fin d’après-midi à Alger, les membres de l’instance présidentielle, le secrétariat national et les présidents de commissions permanentes du Conseil national.
