PAS Youth: Selangor MB post should be decided by Pakatan Supreme Council

Matters concerning the Selangor Mentri Besar post should be discussed and decided by Pakatan Rakyat's Supreme Council, said PAS Youth chief Suhaizan Kayat.

He said Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim hinting that he would take up the post if he (Anwar) won in the upcoming Kajang by-election, was not right.

 "Anwar is not showing respect to the current mentri besar. Put yourself in (current) Mentri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim's shoes. How would you feel if suddenly someone comes around and says that he will soon be the mentri besar (replacing Abdul Khalid).

Several Bosnian Croatian parties have decided to run together in the October general elections so as to best protect the community's interests.

The Croatian People's Assembly - a Bosnian Croat umbrella group - has said that most Croatian parties will go into the general elections in October together, in order to protect the best interests of the community. 

Bozo Ljubic, head of the Croatian People's Assembly, also said on Monday that the member parties would not form any "illegitimate" coalitions following the elections.

Les deux formations qui ont participé aux dernières élections municipales et législatives pourraient faire leur entrée au sein du nouveau gouvernement en gestation.

In the last couple months preceding the referendum, countless Egyptian media outlets began a widespread campaign to push viewers to vote for the 2013 Constitution, while political dissidents were seemingly swept under the rug, raising serious issues over the professionalism in the main-stream Egyptian media.
 
On TVs across Egypt, viewers saw a logo on the left corner of the screen inscribed with “Yes to the Constitution,” which was a normal occurrence on most satellite channels like Al-Kahera Wal-Nass and Cairo Cinema.
 

Moussa: Electing Sisi as president will not bring back military rule

Amr Moussa, chairman of the constitutional committee, said that Field Marshal Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi has all the qualifications of the next president, especially after he was able to earn "the people's confidence and support."
 
“The next president will start Egypt's rebuilding with a clear political and economic plan so that the country can regain its status locally, regionally and internationally,” Moussa told the London-based Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper on Friday.

Prime Minister Jantoro Satybaldiyev today at a meeting of Ata –Jurt faction expressed his opinion that he is against the consideration of issues of Kumtor in a referendum.

 

He said that, there is no need to hold a referendum on the issue. "According to the draft agreement, the government is responsible for this issue. In addition, the agreement shall not pass ratification process, the Parliament should only support," said Satybaldiyev.

All special courts to be scrapped before local elections, Turkish justice minister says

Specially authorized courts will be completely abolished before the Parliament’s recess on the eve of the March 30 local elections, Justice Minister Bekir Bozdağ announced Jan. 29.

The measure will also include the courts authorized by article 10 of the Anti-Terrorism Law, Bozdağ said.

“We will make a historic step that we should have taken a long time ago as a requirement of the rule of law,” Bozdağ told reporters in Ankara.

Sulejman Tihic and Nermina Kapetanovic of the Party of Democratic Action and Hasan Becirovic of the Social Democratic Party, all delegates to the Bosniak caucus in the state-level Bosnian parliament, did not attend the session on Friday, saying they were sick.

Their absence meant that a quorum could not be raised and the session was cancelled.
