Amar Saadani, elected as new FLN secretary general

Former Speaker of the People’s National Assembly (Lower House of Parliament) Amar Saadani was elected, Thursday morning in Algiers, by a show of hands, as new Secretary General of the National Liberation Front (FLN) during the party’s Central Committee 6th session .Addressing audience;  The newly-elected Secretary General of National Liberation Front (FLN) Amar Saadani pledged to work to "unify and close ranks of the party."I pledge to work to unify the party and restore the reconciliation among the militants I urge to get away from all those who contribute to creating a discord and division," he said in a statement after his election at the head of FLN Party, in replacement to Abdelaziz Belkhadem, evicted last January.Moreover, he said that the "difficult conditions" the country is facing is "a crucial period," while noting that his party is set more than ever before to "contribute to the development and the stability of the country as well as the preservation of the State institutions."The General Secretary, freshly elected as Head of the FLN dubbed "very heavy" the responsibility assigned to him by the members of the Central Committee (CC), affirming that it is not only his responsibility but "that of all."
