A decree was issued by the Governor of Benadir & Mayor of Mogadishu declared the change of the HamarJajab district commissioner.
Mohamed Ahmed Ali, who held the title until earlier today was stranded as district commissioner despite that his successor hasn’t been announced yet.
Hamarjajab is the latest district in Benadir to see a change in commissioner, after more than half of the other districts had their commissioners replaced too.
The Mayor of Mogadishu, Hassan Mohamed Hussein Mungab, claimed that the reason for appointing new commissioners is so that they can prioritize security in the capital city.
