KASSERINE(TAP) high degree of tension has prevailed, Wednesday, among the security forces who gathered at the Kasserine regional hospital, where the bodies of four National Guard officers had been transferred, at about 02.00 a.m., martyred in a terrorist attack in Boulaaba.
The security forces voiced dissatisfaction with the working conditions and protested against the lack of equipment and security reinforcement, TAP correspondent in the region reported.
They specified that the region where the terrorist attack had taken place is close to the Chaambi closed military zone.
An armed terrorist group attacked, Tuesday night through to Wednesday, a security patrol at the level of the road connecting the cities of Thala and Kasserine, in the locality of Boulaaba (delegation of southern Kasserine).
Four national guard officers were martyred in this terrorist attack, they are:
- Abdelwahab Nsir, national guard warrant officer from the governorate of Mahdia,
- Mehdi Abid, national guard Sergeant Major from the delegation of Feriana (governorate of Kasserine),
- Haithem Chourabi, national guard Sergeant Major from Kairouan and
- Omar Zeltik, national guard Sergeant from the governorate of Sidi Bouzid.
"Four National Guard officers were killed in a terrorist attack in the town ofBoulaaba, in the governorate of Kasserine," the Interior Ministry announced, Wednesday, in a news release without giving further details.
