«L’ISIE va introduire pour la première fois en Tunisie le vote anticipé», annonce Chafik Sarsar

Le président de l’Instance supérieure indépendante des élections (ISIE), Chafik Sarsar, a confié à Africanmanager que l’instance s’emploie à  introduire pour la première fois en Tunisie le vote anticipé afin de permettre à certaines catégories, dont notamment les sécuritaires et les militaires, de voter avant les autres (3 jours avant le scrutin).

Il a par ailleurs souligné la nécessité d’avoir conscience de l’importance des élections municipales puisqu’elles permettent au peuple de statuer sur les questions majeures .

Chafik Sarsar, le directeur de l’Institution Supérieure de l’Indépendance des Elections (ISIE), a affirmé aujourd’hui, 24 mars 2016, qu’il est strictement impossible d’organiser les élections municipales au cours du mois d’octobre 2016. Le président de l’ISIE a, par contre, indiqué la possibilité de les organiser courant décembre 2016.

Municipal election law needs to be published in Official Gazette before April (ISIE)

President of the Independent High Authority for Elections (ISIE) Chafik Sarsar Tuesday said the municipal election law needs to be published in the Official Gazette before next April 4 so that elections may be held in October 2016. 

“The bill was not yet put officially before the House of People’s Representatives (HPR); it should be brought to the floor as soon as possible,” Sarsar indicated.

Three draft laws organising next municipal elections to be submitted to parliament by late 2015

Three draft laws organising the next municipal elections will be submitted to the parliament before the end of 2015, Secretary of State in charge of Local Affairs Hédi Majdoub told TAP on Tuesday. 

The three texts concern the organic bill related to the regional and municipal elections, the draft law related to the budget of the local communities and the draft law to local authorities code.

 Any peaceful demonstration or protest “is contrary to the provisions imposed by the state of emergency,” Minister of the Interior Najem Gharsalli said on Tuesday.

Among the security measures recently adopted, there is the closure until September 14 of Habib Bourguiba Avenue in Tunis city center.

This decision “has no relation with the national march scheduled for September 12 to protest against the economic reconciliation bill,” stressed the Minister of the Interior on the sidelines of the meeting of the national committee for disaster reduction.

Civil society organisations suspected of having ties to terrorist groups listed (minister)

Some 157 civil society organisations are suspected of having ties to terrorist and Takfiri organisations, said Minister in charge of Relations with Constitutional Bodies and Civil Society Kamel Jendoubi.

The activities of 80 additional organisations were suspended and warnings issued for 83 others to regularise their situation, he announced.

Other organisations were dissolved pursuant to a judicial decision, he said.

General Legislation Committee approves draft anti-terrorist law

The General Legislation Committee approved, Wednesday evening, the draft law on fight against terrorism and money laundering, which will be submitted to the House of People’s Representatives (HPR). 

 Amendments were made to the draft law regarding the protection of witnesses, infiltrated persons and the accused, and the definition of some notions related to terrorism, commission president Abeda Kefi told TAP.

MPs decide to refer draft law on CSM to General Legislation Committee

One hundred and thirty three (133) MPs voted for the transfer of the draft law on the Supreme Judicial Council (French: CSM) to the General Legislation Committee for reconsideration. Six deputies voted against and fourteen MPs abstained. 

The MPs voted at a plenary session of the House of People’s Representatives (HPR) held Tuesday, part of the work of which was devoted to the discussion of the bill on the supreme judicial council.

El Gobierno de Túnez ha declarado este sábado el estado de emergencia en todo el país, una semana después del atentado en el complejo turístico de Susa, en el que murieron 38 personas, la mayoría turistas británicos. Así lo ha indicado mediante un comunicado la oficina del presidente, Beji Caid Essebsi, que se dirigirá al país esta tarde.

Se espera que el atentado del viernes contra turistas en una playa aseste un enorme golpe al sector turístico tunecino 

 

Las autoridades tunecinas desplegaron a mil agentes de policía adicionales en lugares y playas turísticos del país norteafricano, indicó el máximo responsable de seguridad de Túnez.

"No queremos convertir los establecimientos turísticos en barracones, ése no es nuestro objetivo. Pero debemos actuar para garantizar la seguridad del sector turístico" , indicó el ministro del Interior, Najem Gharsalli, el sábado por la noche.

HPR Bureau decides to strive to adopt anti-terrorism bill before next July 25

The Bureau of the House of People’s Representatives (HPR) decided at its meeting Friday to make every effort to complete the discussion of the draft law on fight against terrorism and money laundering before Republic Day which coincides with next July 25. 

The decision was taken at an extraordinary meeting of the HPR Bureau that took place Friday afternoon in the presence of parliamentary group presidents.

HPR Speaker Mohamed Ennaceur called on members of the committee responsible for that bill to redouble efforts and work day and night, if necessary, to achieve this goal.

Al menos 27 muertos en un atentado en un hotel español en Túnez

Al menos 27 personas han muerto en el asalto de varios hombres armados con fusiles Kaláshnikov a un hotel en la ciudad turística de Susa, en el centro de Túnez, según ha informado el ministerio de Interior del país. El hotel, de la cadena española RIU, está situado en el enclave turístico de Port Kantaoui, en la ciudad de Susa. Seis personas han resultado heridas.
