The governments of France, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States have agreed that there can be no military solution to the Libyan crisis and have said that they are “dismayed” that parties have not respected the calls for a ceasefire following the recent meetings in Ghadames and Tripoli.

Damir Hadzic and Nermin Niksic, two key figures in Bosnia's Social Democratic Party, SDP, have resigned decision-making posts in the party after its debacle in last Sunday's elections.

At a crisis press conference on October 16, the SDP said an extraordinary party congress would soon choose a new leadership.

Zlatko Lagumdzija, the veteran party leader, confirmed that he would not be running for the post again.

ISIE decides on arrangements for announcement of results and vote counting

TUNIS (TAP) - The Board of the Independent High Authority for the Elections (ISIE) met, Wednesday, and decided on the way the results of the legislative elections will be announced and the arrangements for vote counting. 

It also decided the organisation of voting simulation before election day, ISIE member Nabil Baffoune told TAP.

The Board of ISIE took stock of the ultimate material and logistic preparations for the legislative elections, as well as arrangements to be made so that all the operations related to the electoral event proceed normally, Baffoune adds.

The Party of Democratic Action, SDA, based on 86 per cent of counted votes, will likely take the lead position in Bosnia's new state-level government after it won around 28 per cent of the votes in the country's Federation entity - around 233,000 votes in all.

In the other entity, Republika Srpska, with some 229,000 votes, the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats, SNSD, has emerged again as the leading party.

Los colegios electorales en Bosnia-Herzegovina cerraron hoy a las 19:00 horas (17:00 GMT) después de doce horas de votación en las elecciones generales del país, en las que se elegían a los representantes públicos de las instituciones centrales y de sus dos entes autónomos.

BiH citizens urged to vote in general election

Valentin Inzko, the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), on Friday urged BiH citizens to vote in the upcoming general elections this month.

During a visit to Prijedor in northern BiH, Inzko said in a statement that voters can "decide their destiny" if they actively participate the voting.

"Voters have the right to choose and it is important that they choose a better future for themselves," said Inzko, "If you do not go to the polls, then your fate will be decided by others."

Au total  1.327 listes de partis , coalitions et de candidats indépendants sont en cours pour les 217 sièges de l’Assemblée nationale.

Les élections législatives se dérouleront dans 33 circonscriptions électorales : 27 en Tunisie et 6 à l’étranger.

Tunisie – Fraude aux parrainages : Le ministère public ouvre une enquête

Le ministère public a autorisé l’ouverture d’une enquête afin d’examiner  la suspicion de fraude des listes de parrainages  au profit des candidats aux présidentielles.
Le parquet a, dans un communiqué rendu public, précisé que des  recherches préliminaires sont en cours et suite auxquelles une enquête a été autorisée dans le cadre de fraude et utilisation délibérée de données personnelles au profit d’une quelconque personne.

A databse on the properties and assets of 160 politicians in Bosnia, produced by the Center for Investigative Reporting, CIN, in Sarajevo has drawn reactions from politicians and member of the public following its publication this week.

The database showed that the real estate holdings of many politicians have kept growing throughout their careers, this past year included.

Journalists from CIN worked on the database for nine months, gathering documentation about property ownership, vehicles, loans and incomes.

Le président de l’ISIE (Instance supérieure pour l’indépendance des élections), Chafik Sarsar, président de l’ISIE, a annoncé lors d’une conférence de presse tenue ce mardi 30 septembre, que 27 dossiers de candidatures pour les élections présidentielles ont été validés puisque remplissant les conditions requises par la loi électorale.
Par conséquent, 41 candidats ont été déboutés, sachant qu’il leur reste toujours des possibilités de recours pour contester cette décision.
